About the Speakers

Mary James, Director of Learning Solutions & Mary Connor, Manager of Human Resources
Mary James is a member of the National Talent and Development Organization (NTDO) team at Cox Communications, which is focused on "growing the capacity of Cox through people." Mary leads a team responsible for the design and development of sales, customer care and technical operations curriculum as well as deployment of learning technology and Cox University. She recently celebrated her 20th anniversary with Cox. She has a BA degree from Providence College and is a member of ASTD, Women in Cable and Telecommunications, and the Society of Cable and Telecommunications Engineers.

Mary Connor
Mary Connor is a member of the Cox New England human resources team with responsibility for managing several HR functions including staffing, employee retention, benefits administration, and affirmative action planning. Mary's team is responsible for implementing Cox's strategic staffing strategy, which is aligned with our overall commitment to diversity. Mary has a Bachelor's degree from Rhode Island College and has been with Cox for six years.

Please enter through the main entrance and plan to arrive no earlier than 7:15am. You'll sign in with Cox security and be directed to the Center for Learning. If you need it, the receptionist's phone number is 401-615-1175. From the North: * Take Route 95 South to Exit 8 (Rt. 2 / Quaker Lane). * Take a left at end of exit ramp onto Route 2 North. * At first light (Cardi's Furniture) take a left onto James P. Murphy Hwy. * Follow road about 1/4 mile to Cox Communications entrance on right. * Park and enter through the front of the building. From the South: * Take Route 95 North to Exit 8B. The ramp will drop you onto Route 2 North. * At second light (Cardi's Furniture) take a left onto James P. Murphy Hwy. * Follow road about 1/4 mile to Cox Communications entrance on right. * Park and enter through the front of the building.
